Had the pleasure of kicking off 2022 with one of my first, big adventurous engagement shoots in Big Sur, CA with Niki and Reece! Big Sur is easily one of my second favorite locations in California because of the diversity of the redwoods and beach cliffs. So when Niki and Reece suggested having their engagement session there, I was stoked! It’s always exciting when I have the chance to to change up the scenery every now and then. Especially after coming out of a slow season, I was definitely feeling inspired!
Little did I realize that we came during the perfect time of year, to witness the keyhole light phenomenon in Pfeiffer Beach, that only happens a couple months in winter each year! It was such a special treat getting to be at the right place at the right time.
Not to mention how thankful we were to plan it just in time, before the Colorado Fire broke out about a week or so after our session. While 687 acres may have burned, thankfully, the fire did not touch any of the beautiful locations we shot in on this day!
